Think of this as an actual blog post that you would be sharing on the Internet for others to read. You should write in first person, and reflect on your comprehension and global awareness that you have gained thus far. Write with a purpose that is informative for an audience. 

Topic 1: Pandemics Viewed through Geography:

1. Describe how geography advances our understanding of a pandemic and help scientists stop the diffusion.

2. Compare the connections between Cholera and COVID.

3. Describe how a global pandemic affects globalization.

Topic 2: Spatial Analysis of Regions:

**Thinking Points:

1. How can a region be defined through the lens of physical geography? Through a lens of cultural landscape? What is the importance of the five themes of geography and SPEEDS?

2. Describe the characteristics that make a place unique.

3. Compare the characteristics associated with regions- formal, functional, and vernacular. 

Topic 3: Map Projections:

**Thinking Points:

1. Explain why map projections are important to the field of geography.

2. Describe how the Mercator map projection has distorted the geopolitical view of the world.

3. Has your view of the world changed since learning about map projections? Explain why or why not.

Topic 4: Globalization:

**Thinking Points:

1. Explain the affect globalization has on modern society in terms of trade, migration, culture, media, technology, women's rights, etc.

2. Explain the degree in which Tobler's First Law of Geography applies to the world today.

3. Explain how the theories of distance decay and time-space compression have evolved in modern times.
